The Connecticut Basketball Conference is one of the oldest and largest youth (travel and AAU) and high school basketball leagues in New England, It plays more than 2,000 games in its winter season, providing various town/travel, high school and AAU basketball related opportunities for girls and boys who seek competitive experiences and are qualified, both by ability and desire, to compete in a competitive basketball environment. For town/travel, our boys and girls teams compete in the 4th-8th Grade Divisions.

Connecticut Basketball
The goal of Connecticut Basketball is to promote the sport of basketball as an avenue to help young people develop a positive self-image, a sense of pride toward the community, respect for others and good training skills and healthy habits. This competitive program places a particular emphasis on individual Basketball skills in a team atmosphere.
Connecticut Basketball is an invite only League. Towns and teams that are not currently members must apply for membership which can completed by clicking on the icon "Team Registration - New Teams Applying to Play in 2023-24" to your right.
For current members who are returning, they need only confirm their intent to returning by clicking on the icon "Team Registration - Returning Teams for 2023-24."
Registration for the 2023-24 Winter Season closes on October 14, 2023!
Connecticut Basketball hosts three tournaments to augment its regular season schedule:
Our Tournament sites are New Britain, Woodbridge and Norwich and are played as follows:
1. Teams are placed in four team brackets.
2. As in a high school Holiday tourney, the winners of the first two games play each other in the Championship game. The two losing teams play each other in the Consolation game.
3. All brackets are typically played in back-to-back in one session.
All Connecticut Basketball Tourneys are Qualifier Events for the New England Championships--which following our League Championships. Thus, teams that make it to a Championship Game in any tourney, Qualify for the New England Championships.

Connecticut Basketball is the only known League that plays an annual All-Stars Classic each President's Day for players who among other things, consistently demonstrate leadership ability on and off the court as well as basketball excellence.
Stay tuned for additional details as the date approaches but remember your Club President or Team Leader must approve the 1-3 All-Star nominations for your team. (The League does not participate in the selection of your All-Stars—only your Club President or Team Leader can approve your selection(s)).
As to Spring AAU, all players who earn roster spots on the All Star teams earn automatic places on one of our AAU teams.
