2027 MLK Day Classic Tourney Registration
Welcome to the Connecticut Basketball Conference 2027 MLK Day Classic Tourney on Jan. 18th at the Vale Co-Op in Berlin!
All Connecticut Basketball tournaments are played in the same "high school" or "college" format. Four teams are placed in a bracket, and the team that wins both games is declared the Champion. The only difference is that teams play the tournament in one session — teams play, sit, and then play again in the Championship (or consolation) game. See below for details.
All Connecticut Basketball tournaments are qualifiers for the New England Championships in Tiverton, Rhode Island in March 2027. There are only two ways to qualify:
  • Advance to your Championship Game in our League's Season-End Playoffs (available only to CTBBALL regular season teams); or
  • Advance to your Championship Game in one of our Tournaments.

Tournament Format
This tournament is played as follows:
  • 1.
    Teams are placed in four-team brackets.
  • 2.
    Like a holiday-style high school tourney, the winners of the first two games play each other in the Championship game; the two losing teams play each other in the Consolation game.
  • 3.
    Most brackets — particularly for teams traveling long distances — are played on the same day in a two- to three-hour period.
Tournament Fee
$250
For two games. You will be billed after your bracket has been filled. As with all CTBBALL travel play: all players from any Club or team must be from the same town and grade-appropriate.

Season registration $375.00 per team

$375.00 a team for a Club with a home gym, committing to 6–8 home dates. Includes the playoffs.
About $250.00 a player if your Club has no home gym — home games are played at a neutral site.
Tournaments are entered separately at $250.00 a bracket.

Nothing is charged when you submit this form. The League invoices your Club once your teams are confirmed after registration closes.
